HOW TO PLAY

OBJECTIVE

Go through the maze to collect and segregate pieces of trash to earn the highest points!

ENTER GAME

Type in your name, press Q for quiz mode and N for learning mode. Press the enter button.

TO MOVE

Use the arrow keys to control the character.

LEARNING MODE

• Collect up to 5 pieces of trash and return to the middle of the maze. Pass through the pickup release to release your inventory.
• After releasing the trash, drag them with mouse/mousepad to their proper trash bin: Recyclable, Biodegradable, Non-Biodegradable, and Hazardous.
• Segregating trash properly will earn you points. Putting them in the wrong bin will cause you to lose lives. Losing all 3 lives will end the game.
• There are buffs and debuffs placed around the maze to either help or hinder you.
• The bottom part of the maze is underwater. Your breath is limited and once all 4 of your bubbles pop, you lose a heart.

QUIZ MODE

• Collecting a piece of paper will give you a true or false question at the bottom of the screen.
• To answer, press T to change between true and false. Press Enter to select.
• Every correct answer earns you +2 points.

ABOUT THE GAME

S.I.G.M.A. (Sustainable Innovative Garbage Maze Adventure) is a maze game that teaches proper waste segregation and reinforces science concepts like Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

In Educational Mode, players explore pollution and solutions through science.

In Quiz Mode, they answer true or false questions linked to the properties of trash.

The game aims to make learning about waste management more fun and effective—especially for students in public schools.

WHY WE MADE THIS

Improper waste management remains a serious issue in the Philippines. Many students are unaware of how to properly segregate trash and understand its effects.

S.I.G.M.A. was created to combat this problem using interactive, game-based learning—integrating science and sustainability in one fun adventure.
